The Zilla Project is a band that hails from the island of Cyprus. They play their version of the Blues with allusions to all styles of American music. They perform their original material along with electrified versions of Blues & Rock n Roll music. Their debut album "This One's for The President" (2014) received raving reviews from prestigious Blues and Rock publications, home and abroad.
In November 2016 the band embarked on a tour of Greece and the following month they performed four shows in Geneva, Switzerland, including one at the Palais Des Nations for the United Nations end-of-year staff party. Other international ventures have included performances in London, UK (December 2015) and headlining at the August Full Moon Festival in Crete in 2014.
They have successfully collaborated with a number of international artists including Adam Levy (US), Bex Marhsall (UK), Gil Edwards (NOR), Foko (GR), The BluesWire (GR) and Panos Mouzourakis (GR).
The Zilla Project are Emmanuel “Big Mo” Vourakis on vocals and guitars, Nikolas “Honeyman” Melis on keys, Loizos “Lou” Pafitis on bass, Stefanos “Medicine Man” Meletiou on drums, and Keti Tanou and Nicole Ardanitou on backing vocals.
